TUCA's Decades of Advocacy for Ukraine's Sovereignty, Independence and Prosperity: Join Our Advocacy Efforts!

One of TUCA’s primary missions is support of strong sovereign and independent Ukraine. For decades, TUCA’s leadership and advocacy team, consisting of American-Ukrainian volunteers and friends of Ukraine from Hampton Roads region and beyond, conducted congressional advocacy on the Hill and at the state and local levels. The last three years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russia, this mission has become even more significant. We organized numerous meetings of local Ukrainian community with our elected officials, educated them on the need for continued support for Ukraine and importance of Ukraine’s unequivocal victory, and in turn received valuable feedback, learned about relevant legislative and policy priorities, and established strong working connections with our representatives’ offices.

In 2022 TUCA became a member of the American Coalition for Ukraine, and its delegation participated in 5 Ukraine Action Summits in Washington DC, as well as several Ukraine Days on the Hill with the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America.

With the new Presidential and Congressional term starting this January 2025, our Ukraine Advocacy Team is, scheduling meetings with our new and returning legislators for continued support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and its pivotal role for lasting international security.
